The New York Art Residency and Studios (NARS) Foundation Artist in Residency Program supports emerging and mid-career artists and curators working across all disciplines through three and six-month residencies. The program is open to both International and US-Based artists, creating a shared space for artistic dialogue and international cultural exchange for an extended period of time. The submission period for the NARS International Residency Program opens February 27th to both US based and International based artists.

Artists receive curatorial and project support, weekly studio visits, networking opportunities, and participate in a program designed to foster artistic experimentation and exchange among peers. In addition, artists have opportunities to present their work through virtual or public programming and exhibitions.

As part of the Open Call, US based artists are encouraged to apply for the new International Residency Full Fellowship. One US based artist per season will be awarded the Full Fellowship, which covers all program fees for the residency. Please note that only US based artists are eligible to apply for the Full Fellowship. If you would like to apply, please make sure to fill out the relevant section on the Submittable application. Applications cannot be edited or amended once they are submitted.

Please note that the application for both US based and internationally based artists is for the 2023-2024 residency seasons.

Please email info@narsfoundation.org or call 718-768-2765 with any questions.
