You may not know that Asian Americans are dramatically underrepresented in health research. In the last 30 years, only 0.17% of the federal research budget has gone towards research on Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander populations.
You have an opportunity to change this narrative. A new effort funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) - the MOSAAIC study - is seeking to recruit 10,000 Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander participants in the next few years. By participating in MOSAAIC, you will contribute to research that will be used to create better healthcare for our communities.
You can help. By joining our study, you can help doctors provide better care for you, your family, and the next generation.
Interested?
You will answer some questions first to see if you can join the study. If you are eligible, you will complete surveys and attend an in-person exam where you’ll have a physical checkup and give samples like blood and saliva. After that, you’ll fill out follow-up surveys after six months and each year.
