The New 42nd Street seeks a Manager, Annual Fund & Events to serve as project manager for the organization’s annual fund campaigns and fundraising events, including the annual gala. Funds raised support activities powered by the New 42 at The New Victory Theater, New York’s premier theater for kids and families, and the New 42 Studios, “Broadway’s secret laboratory.” New 42 engages a wide diversity of New York City youth, artists, educators, and audiences through the New Victory’s stage presentations from around the world; award-winning education and youth employment programs; New Victory LabWorks, an incubator for new works; and, state-of-the-art studio space for New York City’s creative community. These activities provide accessibility to the performing arts to all New Yorkers from the earliest years on.

Requirements

Responsibilities include: Devising and implementing online and direct mail campaigns; managing online giving platforms, including Give Lively and Tessitura, and overseeing their integration within New 42’s websites; managing special event logistics, timelines, and donation tracking; acting as the development department’s key liaison with digital services for online donor solicitations, social media, and communication needs. Maintaining systems for tracking gifts and donor engagement and sending time sensitive acknowledgements. Works with the Senior Manager, Individual Giving, the Manager, Development Information Systems and the Development Associate. Reports to the Vice President, Development.

Requirements: BA and 5-8+ years’ development experience, including knowledge of digital and direct mail solicitation systems, practices, and protocols; experience cultivating donors via online campaigns. Candidates must possess digital competence, strong written and verbal skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks while achieving goals and responding to deadlines. Microsoft and Google suite proficiency required; knowledge of Tessitura and WordFly preferred.
