Male lead in The Sufi's Nightingale Musical

Giaea LLC is seeking a talented non-equity actor (ages 20–25) for the pivotal role of Madho in the upcoming Boston premiere of The Sufi’s Nightingale this September. This transformative musical is based on the bestselling novel by Sarbpreet Singh—a work celebrated as “historical fiction at its finest” by author Manu Pillai. The story reimagines 16th-century Lahore through the legendary relationship between the Sufi poet Shah Hussain and the handsome Brahmin boy, Madho. Reviewers have praised the original narrative for its unique beauty, with The New Indian Express noting that “the prose is like poetry; the poetry reads like the song” and the Hindustan Times describing it as an unraveling of the “mysterious beauty of transcendental love and faith”. They are looking for a performer who can capture this spiritual and emotional intensity on stage.

Requirements

Male actor, 20-25 (we will consider slightly older actors who present younger) with some dance ability.
