UndocuEdu’s “Belonging Beyond Borders” exhibition is seeking talented artists to showcase their work!
They welcome applications from artists aged 18 and older in New York State working in any medium who wish to share their perspectives on immigration and intersectional identities.
Through diverse mediums, insider-perspectives of those directly impacted by current immigration policies, and other intersectionalities, UndocuEdu aims to explore the complexities, intersections, and experiences of undocumented immigrant communities and individuals from New York State.
Requirements
They seek visual artworks (painting, print, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics), including photography and/or performance proposals (e.g. dancing, spoken word, etc.) from undocumented and immigrant artists from across the state of New York who examine the multilayered themes of identity, belonging, borders, and community - both the struggles and/or the joy - through an immigrant lens.
If accepted, your work will be featured at the exhibition to be held on Saturday, May 25 at the People’s Forum, 320 W 37th Street, New York, NY 10018.
