Illustration Open Call: Beyond Visibility

Asian American Arts Alliance’s magazine, The Amp, is looking for a cover artist for their next print issue! Previous editions have featured work by Samia Halaby and Rama Duwaji.

This year’s theme, “Beyond Visibility,” explores how AAPI artists are establishing a sense of identity that is not framed solely around representation. At a time when AAPI cultural voices are more visible than ever, what comes next?

A4 offers a modest $500 honorarium for this project.

Requirements

• Applicant must identify as AANHPI and/or SWANA
• Provide link to website, Instagram, or other portfolio platform
• Provide three examples of existing work that best reflects your style
• Brief explanation of how your work will interpret the theme, “Beyond Visibility”
