Hungry Ghost Festival Theater Talent

Welcome to Chinatown is proud to host their Annual Hungry Ghost Festival Theater in Manhattan Chinatown. Inspired by the holiday traditions in Hong Kong, Southern China, and Taiwan, they are bringing the traditions here to Manhattan Chinatown.

Welcome to Chinatown is proud to bring back Chinatown’s very own Cantonese Opera team to perform.

They are looking for AAPI musicians, performers, singers, etc. to bridge the old and new traditions together for this event. They are looking for people who bring in their East Asian background into their work. This can be express either through language, musical instruments, or themes.

Requirements

• Must be available for the day of August 22 in person
• Preferred background of Asian descent
• The final piece you are performing must be relatively family-friendly
