The International Studio & Curatorial Program is seeking a Director of Development in East Williamsburg, NY. ISCP is a not-for-profit, residency-based contemporary art center for emerging to mid-career artists and curators from around the world. The Director of Development is responsible for a range of essential organizational activities and reports to the Executive Director. The Director of Development supervises the Development Associate.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Strategize with Executive Director and board Fundraising Committee and draft annual fundraising plan, lead fundraising initiatives, including grant applications, fundraising events, individual giving
● Liaise with Executive Director on new sponsor outreach planning and execution
● Prepare funding applications for individuals, government, foundation, and corporate support; manage interim and year end reporting to funders
● Manage and direct fundraising events, including the planning and coordination of benefits, auctions, cultivation events, sale of editions
● Work on the multi-year capital campaign, in collaboration with two other staff members and a board committee
●Work with the board Fundraising Committee, including organization of regular committee meetings and reporting on development at Board meetings
● Conduct prospect research
● Liaise with funders regarding special projects as needed
● Liaise with Director of Finance and Operations on budget for fundraising
● Liaise with communications staff to supply text for newsflashes pertaining to fundraising initiatives
● Build the overall fundraising capacity of the institution
● Advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility at ISCP

Position salary is $75,000–$85,000. Benefits include paid holidays, vacation, paid sick time, health insurance, and 401k plan

Requirements

Education and experience:
● A minimum of five years experience in contemporary arts fundraising, preferably in a nonprofit environment
● Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment
● Attention to detail, ability to prioritize, problem solve, and multitask
● Must have supervisory experience
● Familiarity with grant writing
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent number years’ experience
● Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and G Suite; Salesforce/database experience a plus
