Committee of 100 (C100) is seeking a full-time staff Director of Development & Fundraising. The role will provide vision for generating revenue, including translating C100’s recently developed plan into measurable goals, objectives, and outcomes. The Director of Development & Fundraising will report to the President and work in conjunction with the Board of Directors in all development and fundraising endeavors. This position will not be managing others.

What you will do:

. Implement and evolve the strategic plan for giving primarily in the areas of fundraising, grant writing, partnership/sponsorship outreach, evaluating existing programs, recommending new initiatives consistent with the mission and vision of C100
. Cultivate and sustain relationships with a wide variety of constituencies including current and potential donors, foundations and government sources, local businesses and community partners
. Oversee grant seeking including research, proposal writing, and reporting requirements
. Establish effective communications and engagement with C100 members
. Direct major fundraising drives and coordinate fundraising events
. Oversee creation of publications to support fundraising activities and oversee fundraising database
. Collaborate with the Director of Finance on all billing, invoicing, and fundraising activity to ensure proper documentation and accountability

Requirements

. 7+ years of development and fundraising experience (non-profit experience not required)
. Strong commitment to vision, mission, and values of C100
. Experienced with grant writing, corporate sponsorships, and fundraising outreach
. Strong organizational abilities including collaborating, planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation
. Solid, proven budget management skills including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and reporting
. Strong written and oral communication skills and appropriate self-confidence and maturity so as to effectively communicate C100’s vision at all levels and across organizational lines
. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with staff with a “hands-on” orientation to the workplace and supervision, and the humility to be willing to take on any task at any time
. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
. Excellent project management and Microsoft Office/Google Suite skills
. Must be a flexible self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit
. Must be able to and find satisfaction in building processes and function from the ground up and work autonomously
