NAATCO (National Asian American Theatre Company) is seeking a Company Manager for their upcoming all femme/female and AAPINH production of Cymbeline by William Shakespeare, with modern translation by Andrea Thome and directed by Stephen Brown-Fried.
The Company Manager will play an important role in caring for the company of CYMBELINE.
This position can accommodate remote work and requires some in-person time.
Estimated hours of work: 15-20 hours/week

NAATCO (National Asian American Theatre Company) was founded in 1989 by Mia Katigbak and Richard Eng to assert the presence and significance of Asian American theatre in the United States, demonstrating its vital contributions to the fabric of American culture. NAATCO puts into service its total commitment to Asian American theatre practitioners to more accurately represent onstage the multi-and intercultural dynamics of our society. By doing so, they demonstrate a rich tapestry of cultural difference bound by the American experience. The enrichment accrues to each different culture as well as to America as a whole. NAATCO was nominated for a Drama Desk Award For Outstanding Revival of a Play, as well as Outstanding Costume Design for a Play for their acclaimed production of Henry VI: Shakespeare’s Trilogy in Two Parts in 2018. Their 2015 production of Awake and Sing! at The Public was nominated for a Drama League Award for Outstanding Revival of a Broadway Or Off-Broadway Play. NAATCO was the recipient of the Obie’s Ross Wetzsteon Award and the Rosetta LeNoire Award from Actors’ Equity Association in recognition of its contribution toward increasing diversity in American theatre.
Job Description
Duties and responsibilities
General and Company Management
-Gather and distribute company headshots, contact information, and program bios to appropriate staff including the Marketing Manager, Stage Management, and NAATCO Producers
-Distribute press releases and any pertinent info needing approval from the company in a timely manner
-Support Managing Producer in gathering fully completed new hire tax paperwork from company and crew
-Process and send weekly checks and reports to AEA
-Update call board with company notices that include any press, marketing, and special events information
-Check in with company at half-hour and be the point of contact from half-hour to curtain during performances
-Coordinate all company hospitality – snacks and refreshments, wellness needs, and work with appropriate staff to maintain dressing/green rooms
Ticketing
-Gather, track, and coordinate company comp requests and contractual ticket obligations
Requirements
Qualifications and attributes
-1+ years of company management experience preferably with a performing arts organization or similar
-Strong organizational and time management skills
-Collaborative, patient, and having a sense of humor
