Community Outreach Manager and Assistant to Artistic Director

Sachiyo Ito and Company is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Community Outreach Manager and Assistant to Artistic Director (10 hours/week) to join their team.

Sachiyo Ito and Company is a performing and educational not-for-profit organization. Since 1981, the Company has been dedicated to creating a bridge between the United States and Japan through artistic performances and educational exchange programs that promote Japanese culture through the arts, particularly dance.

In this role, you will be the bridge between Sachiyo Ito & Company and local schools and community centers, developing partnerships and coordinating impactful workshops and performances that serve diverse audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Education, Nonprofit Management, Art Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience in community outreach, education programming, or nonprofit work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience coordinating events or educational programs
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database management tools

Preferred:

Experience working with schools, community centers, or educational institutions
Knowledge of local community organizations and resources
Familiarity with grant writing and program development
Work Schedule: 2 days per week, 5 hours per day (10 hours per week total)
Salary: $25/hr
