The Community Engagement Grants (CEGs) program supports local projects that enable Bronx communities to experience and actively engage with the performing, literary, media, or visual arts. Under the CEG umbrella, three funds—Arts Fund, Community Arts, and New Work—provide awards to Bronx-based individual artists, artist collectives, and nonprofit arts and community organizations who propose community-based projects. Grant awards depend on applicant type and fund, with the option to request support for the same project across multiple funds using a single application.

Community engagement is at the heart of CEG. By fostering projects that connect artists and audiences, these grants aim to strengthen the cultural fabric of The Bronx and expand access to diverse artistic experiences. The Bronx Council on the Arts (BCA) is committed to building ongoing relationships with CEG applicants and grantees, remaining engaged from the application process through the realization of funded projects.

Awards: $5,000 to $17,500 depending on applicant and fund type.
