OPEN CALL!

In Search Of Agency is currently casting JOSEPHINE, a feature film written and directed by Beth de Araújo, set to film between late April - June 2024. This film is loosely based off of Beth’s personal experience as a child and will be starring two big name actors alongside our Lead character.

LOGLINE

JOSEPHINE tells the story of how a brutal attack that 8-year old Josephine and her father interrupt early one morning in Golden Gate Park reverberates through their family.

They are currently seeking talent for their LEAD role:

Josephine - 8 years old, half East Asian / half Caucasian, born in America. Sporty, active, likes to be silly with her father and looks up to him. Well behaved, obedient, and disciplined. Grew up sheltered but loves exploring. Inquisitive and excitable by nature. After Josephine witnesses an attack one morning in the park with her father, she starts to see the world as unfair and gradually becomes less and less obedient. She transforms into someone who is untrusting, spontaneously angry, brooding, and unpredictable when she feels unsafe. Josephine spirals into hyper-vigilance, which is its own kind of paranoia, increasingly panicked and scared. This causes her to have a deep sense of loneliness.

NO ACTING EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
THIS IS A PAID OPPORTUNITY

Talent can be based anywhere in the United States and must be legal to work in the US.

Local Bay Area submissions are highly encouraged!
