LYDIA is a dramatic character study that follows the titular character, a young Chinese-American painter. After a sexual assault, Lydia revisits old haunts in NYC to reconnect with herself, her environment, and the people of the city.
This is a student film signed with the SAG-AFTRA Microbudget Agreement, and supported by the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema, Brooklyn College.
Union and non-union actors welcome.
Requirements
DAYPLAYER ROLE:
MOTHER (35-50); East Asian woman. A former dancer, a first-generation immigrant to the U.S. Elegant, warm, and grounded. Invested in supporting her U.S-born daughter’s connection to her cultural heritage.
$50/half day.
Must be comfortable shooting renegade in an unsecured location (a renowned art institution in the city).
