PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

Seeking NYC/NJ area talent for “Myself When I Am Real” a short film in development at the Wexner Center for the Arts Film/Video Studio. Directed by Angeline Gragasin, Produced by Elisha Mlotek. Production Company: Weird Seeds.

Logline: A working mother and her teenage daughter struggle to make friends and find belonging in a small Wisconsin town. Era: 1990s. Special Requirements: Specifically seeking female actors of the Filipinx diaspora. Must be comfortable around dogs.

Production Feb 2023 (dates TBD) in NYC/NJ

“JASMINE” Lead, Female, 15-18
Sullen teenager daughter, wants badly to fit in and be normal.
Note: no minors. Actors must be age 18+ by January 1, 2023.

- Accents: American

“PRINCESS” Supporting, Female, 30-50
Wealthy Filipina immigrant. Materialistic, but polite and self-aware.
- Ethnicity: Filipinx diaspora
- Accents: Tagalog, Cebuano, Ilocano, or any Filipino dialect

“ESMIE” Supporting, Female, 30-50
Typical Filipina tita. Uninhibited and gossipy, loves to laugh out loud.
