A.R.T./New York is a service organization serving NYC’s nonprofit theatrical community through funding, subsidized space, consultation, advocacy, and networking opportunities. Our workshops are offered free of charge to our members - arts administrators and independent producers working in New York’s nonprofit theatre community. Our constituents are leaders of small theatres, staff members of all levels at nonprofit theatrical institutions of every size and methodology, as well as independent producers. We welcome workshop proposals geared toward any or all of these groups.

Many of our educational opportunities fall under one of the following categories: Accessibility, Advocacy, Anti-Oppression, Marketing & Audience Development, Boards, Creative Practices (such as casting), Financial Management, Fundraising, Independent Producing, Organizational Management, and The Fundamentals of Arts Administration. Use these as context to determine if your content might be a good fit, but feel free to offer a topic that doesn’t fit neatly within any of these boxes. NOTE: Though many of our members are creative, multi-hyphenate theatre makers, we don’t generally offer content based on specific artistic practice (such as audition workshops, writing masterclasses, etc.)
Pay begins at $450 per workshop.

If you are interested in teaching a workshop for our members then we want to hear from you! You may also use this form to suggest an instructor you think we should get to know. Either way, don’t worry if you can’t provide all of the information requested in this form - just provide as much as you can! We will be in touch to learn more if we think it might be possible for us to work together.
