The Asian American International Film Festival (AAIFF) is proudly known as “The First Home to Asian American Cinema.” It’s the first and longest-running festival in America dedicated to showcasing the moving image work by media artists of Asian descent, from any nationality, and about the Asian community.

The festival will be held from August 3-13, 2022. In the past, venues have included Asia Society on the Upper East Side and Regal Essex Crossing & RPX on the Lower East Side, among others.

As a volunteer, you will assist in a range of positions which help the festival run optimally.

Benefits of being a volunteer include:

  • meeting filmmakers, film fans, industry professionals, and community members
  • complimentary tickets for shifts which have been completed
  • a festival shirt
  • meal and travel stipends
  • college credit (for those enrolled at an accredited university)

All volunteers are required to attend one of two volunteer orientations which will be held in July. We will explain the roles and responsibilities of festival volunteers as well as schedule your preferred shifts. The volunteer orientation dates are:

  • Tuesday, July 19 from 6:30PM - 8:30PM
  • Saturday, July 23 from 1:30PM - 3:30PM
