Street Works (https://www.makejusticenormal.org/the-arisen/street-works), a project from Make Justice Normal, are by and for artists dedicated to co-creative practices in public spaces. They’re a new, volunteer-run community excited to build connection among these artists across the world.

Based on your interests, you may be included in an online artist directory, and/or offered a $3,000-5,000 stipend to create a project at MJN’s 1-day Street Work Earth in Queens, NY, during Climate Week (Sept 22-29, 2024), and/or invited to other opportunities we’re creating. Please submit by February 29. Thank you for who you are.

Requirements

MJN’s arts studio is dedicated to building communities of mutual support for artists committed to justice. (Learn here about MJN’s 4 characteristics of justice: https://www.makejusticenormal.org/justice)
Their inaugural social practice project, Street Works, is by artists who embody most or all of the 4 principles described here: https://www.makejusticenormal.org/artist-call
