Neena Wang seeks artist submissions for the exhibition Celestial Bodies, a group exhibition exploring themes of generational dreams, collective imagination, continental migration, community resilience, and growing roots in a foreign place.

This exhibition is curated by Neena Wang and hosted by Stove Works in Chattanooga, TN. The exhibition will be on view from February 21 - June 7, 2025 with an opening reception on Friday, February 21. All works in the exhibition will need to arrive at Stove Works by February 1, 2025 and will be returned after June 2025. They will cover the costs of shipping and return shipping, as well as offer a small artist fee to each artist chosen for the exhibition.

They are seeking works in all mediums from Asian/AAPI artists, especially those from the South, Mid-South, and Midwest that reflect themes of generational dreams, collective imagination, continental migration, community resilience, and growing roots in a foreign place.

Requirements

Deadline for submissions: Friday, November 1
Open to artists of all mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, installation, and performance.

Artwork must resonate with the themes of migration, intergenerational dreams, community resilience, and growing roots in a foreign place.

Artists may submit up to 5 works for consideration.

Artists must ship or drop off their work to Stove Works (1250 E 13th Street, Chattanooga, TN 37408) before February 1, 2025. We will cover the costs of shipping both ways.
