Brooklyn Arts Council (BAC) grants support Brooklyn-based artists, curators, creatives, collectives, and small arts organizations whose work benefits the public and enhances the cultural ecosystems of our borough. Apply now for awards through Brooklyn Arts Fund, Local Arts Support, Creative Equations Fund, and Charlene Victor & Ella J. Weiss Cultural Entrepreneur Fund. We are also seeking grant panelist applications from members of the Brooklyn public with artistic expertise and knowledge of local communities. Brooklyn Arts Fund
Grant Amount: $5,000 or $7,500
Open to individuals and nonprofit organizations, Brooklyn Arts Fund provides support for publicly accessible arts and cultural projects in all disciplines that contribute to creative experiences for audiences in Brooklyn.
Local Arts Support
Grant Amount: $5,000 or $7,500
Open to nonprofit organizations and individuals partnering with nonprofits, Local Arts Support funds publicly accessible arts projects and programs in all disciplines that focus on community engagement.
Creative Equations Fund: Performing Arts
Grant Amount: $10,000
Open to individuals and nonprofit organizations, Creative Equations Fund supports artists and nonprofits in the performing arts whose practice intersects with social justice issues.
Charlene Victor & Ella J. Weiss Cultural Entrepreneur Fund
Grant Amount: $3,500
Open to individuals, this fund honors BAC’s founder, Charlene Victor, and former president, Ella J. Weiss, by providing women artists and arts administrators with funds to pursue professional development opportunities.
Serve as a Grant Panelist
Honorarium: $250-$500
Get involved in BAC’s grantmaking efforts! BAC uses a panel selection process to review applications. Since we give grants to all kinds of artists from all over Brooklyn, we need panelists from all of our borough’s communities.
