The position delivers all aspects of the administration and coordination of SPCUNY public programs, including but not limited to public talks, workshops, conversations with Fellows, and more. Based at The Graduate Center, City University of New York, and developed out of the Social Practice Queens (SPQ) program at Queens College, SPCUNY’s theory of educational transformation fosters structures and resources for diverse creative leaders who will empower New York City as an inclusive, justice-driven cultural landscape. In addition to its goal of initiating interdisciplinary projects within the CUNY network, SPCUNY has also partnered with Tate Modern, Middlesex University London, and Queens Museum to explore how the teaching of social practice can be improved for arts practitioners through partnerships between cultural and higher education institutions.
