As Slow As Possible is a four-day residency taking place at Highland Lake in New York in August 2023. We invite four BIPOC local artists to connect and expand their sense of bodies through a one-hour activity led by each artist.
As Slow As Possible as opposed to As Soon As Possible is an act of resistance to the neoliberal framework of hyper-productivity, efficiency, and individualism.
We re-imagine the process of art-making as an act of sharing while entering the post-pandemic era. Within this process, we practice solidarity with radical self-care to connect borders as a BIPOC collective.

What we offer:
- Artists fee(stipend) of $200

- Accommodation
- Food (Note: Breakfast will be provided; for lunch and dinner, each participant is encouraged as a pair to facilitate communal cooking during the residency period.)
