at Louis Place (aLP) is a liberatory community of writers that has provided over 150 writers with access to critique groups, co-writing sessions, guest workshops, peer review exchanges, and more. The online platform and asynchronous offerings enable aLP to prioritize writers who are parents, caregivers, disabled writers and writers with chronic illness, rural writers, and others whose access to in-person creative communities is limited.
Application Instructions
Visit https://atlouisplace.com/practicum to register.
The sliding scale registration fee ($25–$65) is designed to accommodate as many writers as possible. Registration is capped at 200 writers. Visit the website for more information and to register.
If you (a) need to pay less than $25 to participate or (b) would like to apply for support from aLP’s small mutual aid fund to offset lost wages, childcare, or other expenses that would otherwise make it difficult to attend a full day program, please use the “Registration with mutual aid support” form.
