Activity host or Performer

Gotham Park, in partnership with Welcome to Chinatown, is inviting performers and cultural practitioners to take part in its 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival, a free three-day celebration bringing food, art, and community together in the heart of Lower Manhattan. Gotham Park is currently seeking performers and activity hosts for Friday, October 2nd and Sunday, October 4th (Saturday, October 3rd is largely filled). Artists are invited to participate in one of two ways:

• Perform: Share a performance that reflects Asian culture and heritage — dance, music, martial arts, storytelling, and more are all welcome.
• Host an activity: Lead a hands-on cultural activity for festival-goers of all ages, such as paper-folding, calligraphy, tea ceremony, or another cultural celebration or tradition close to your practice.

Requirements

• Open to performers, artists, and community groups of all backgrounds and disciplines
• Performance or activity should connect to the spirit of Mid-Autumn Festival themes like community, harvest, gathering, movement, light, or celebration (interpreted broadly, not limited to traditional cultural performance)
• Available for one of the open dates: October 2nd - October 4th
• Comfortable performing outdoors in a public park setting
• Able to provide own equipment, or communicate any equipment/space needs in advance (power, tables, sound, etc.)
• All content must be free and open to the public, family-friendly, and appropriate for a multi-generational audience
• Willing to be listed/promoted with a short bio, photo, and social handles

• A brief note expressing your interest in participating
• Your availability — which date(s) (October 2 - October 4) and time frame you’re available within the 1:00 PM–7:00 PM window
• A short summary of your proposed performance or activity
• Your standard rate or fee range
