Arts on the Block (AB) is a grassroots initiative designed to provide small grants of up to $1,500 specifically for artist fees for arts activities at block parties and single block festivals. Examples include DJs, spoken word artists, musicians, singers, dancers, etc., or other artists whose activities will enhance block party attendance. This initiative aims to support small local organizations and block associations to increase attendance at their events. Preference will be given to smaller organizations and those who have not applied for a grant from BCA in the past.

The Bronx Council on the Arts (BCA) Arts on the Block (ATB) grant program is a grassroots initiative designed to contribute to the cultural life of the borough through the support of small, local organizations and block associations. Arts on the Block is designed to fund artist activities that take place at local block parties or single-block festivals to increase attendance and contribute to the cultural life of a neighborhood.

Funded projects must take place in The Bronx between June 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026 and be open and accessible to the public. Priority will be given to first-time applicant organizations that could become future grantees for other arts programs. The maximum grant award for Arts on the Block is $1,500.00.
