There are 34 days until Election Day on Tuesday, November 7th! AALDEF continues to seek volunteers from MA, VA, GA, PA, NJ, NY. They are looking for volunteers to help take shifts to support our efforts at the polls to talk to AAPI voters after they vote about their voting experience, document voter problems, and provide language assistance.
According to the 2020 Census, Asian Americans are the fastest-growing racial minority group, numbering over 20 million. That makes the Asian American vote more important than ever. Exit Polling and Poll Monitoring allows us to protect the AAPI vote while surveying the community to better understand the diversity of the Asian American community.
VOLUNTEER TO:
Receive a one-hour training on voting rights, language access, and voter protection
Do at least one three-hour shift at a poll site near you on Election Day
Provide real-time voter protection
Empower our communities to be visible and heard
Asian language ability a plus, but not required.
Requirements
Trainings are mandatory for first time volunteers and encouraged for returning volunteers.
