Young Artists Showcase: In-Studio with Jonathan Mamora and Hannah Cho

Host Simone Dinnerstein brings pianist Jonathan Mamora and soprano Hannah Cho into the studio. Jonathan shares a program of Liszt and Rachmaninoff while Hannah, joined by pianist Youngmo Na, performs Debussy, Faure, Grieg, and more. Then, they join forces for Schubert’s “Im Frühling”.

Jonathan Mamora is an Indonesian-American pianist and educator from Southern California. He has performed throughout North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, and he is a prize-winner of numerous piano competitions. Jonathan holds a diverse set of positions, including Music Director and Organist of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Clifton Springs, NY, Instructor for Music Theory and Aural Musicianship at the Eastman School of Music and as a ​​collaborative pianist for vocalists, instrumentalists, ensembles, and choirs. He is currently a candidate for the Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance and Literature at the Eastman School of Music.

Hannah Cho is a soprano with a passion for new music and art songs. She has received numerous accolades for her performances, including 1st prizes at the Beijing International Opera Competition, Korea National Opera Competition, Daejeon Opera Competition, and German Lieder Association Competition. She has taken on many roles in world premier operas, such as Little Madame Shoes in Red Shoes, Nanako in Dongju Yun, and the Nightingale in On Site Opera’s Song of the Nightingale. She recently graduated from the Mannes School of Music with a Masters Degree in Vocal Performance.
