Y. Orosa Lit Society presents: Kwentuhan

In the Philippines, palengkes (wet markets) are community spaces where people exchange goods, services, and often have conversations in town.

This September 14, bring your baskets with a book and story to Essex Market for Y. Orosa Lit Society’s first social gathering. Participants will exchange answers on “What does being Filipino/a/x mean to you?”

Come prepared to share your chosen book or item, and tell them how it connects with and embraces your identity. No pressure to bring it physically, but tell them a memory. Grab your favorite snacks or drinks when you arrive.
