1:30 – 6PM
1:30 – 6PM
Explore where ‘Home’ lies, how memory is carried in our bodies, how we tell our stories and how our objects define us. Led by Bessie award-winning choreographer, Muna Tseng, this workshop is a direct experience of Tseng’s working process in creating STELLA, commissioned by Danspace Project for its Spring Season, to premiere May 5-7, 2011. Following themes of mother/daughter bond, loss, and memory, the workshop begins with a gigong class, followed by movement improvisation, drawing, story-telling, solo and duet development. Pre-Registration with Danspace is required. Email jodi@danspaceproject.org and register by Friday, November 12, 2010. $65 fee ($35 non-refundable deposit due by November 12; $30 balance due day of workshop).
