Womankind: Rising Above Violence

Womankind works with survivors of gender-based violence to rise above trauma and build a path to healing. Founded in 1982 by an impassioned group of Asian American women activists, as the New York Asian Women’s Center, it officially became Womankind in 2017.

Hosted by the Mei Hau Society, funds raised at the 2020 banquet will support Womankind’s Pathways to Empowerment Program to provide survivors with skill-building opportunities, support and connections to enable them to find employment, housing, and financial resources.
