Schubert’s “Tragic” Fourth Symphony is paired with Copland’s Clarinet Concerto and Paul Novak’s winning work “hildegard dreams of a garden” (2025).
Founded in 2022, the Westside Chamber Players is a student-led chamber orchestra based in NYC that presents high-level, accessible performances aiding in the development of young, passionate artists.
About Adeline Baban, Executive Director:
Filipina American violinist Adeline Baban is a leading advocate for community-building in the arts, spearheading initiatives that unite artists and audiences through collaboration and creative programming. As Executive Director of the Westside Chamber Players, a student-led chamber orchestra based in New York City, she has established a platform that celebrates young musicians, conductors, and composers. Now in its fourth season under her leadership, WCP has launched multiple initiatives beyond its orchestral programming, including a monthly concert series at a retirement community on the Upper West Side and a Young Composers Lab curriculum debuting in the 2025–26 school year. Adeline has also worked with numerous nonprofits, curating a professional development series for The Next Festival of Emerging Artists and serving as a Teaching Artist with Concerts for Compassion and Arts Ignite. She is the Anjeli Jana Memorial Intern with the Asian American Arts Alliance (A4) for the 2025-26 academic year.
Adeline maintains an active performing career in New York City and is passionate about championing the works of contemporary composers. She has held Concertmaster positions with the New York Youth Symphony, Manhattan Symphony Orchestra and Mannes Orchestra, performing in Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall. She is pursuing her graduate studies at the Manhattan School of Music and holds a Bachelor’s of Music degree from the Mannes School of Music.
