The Wedding

The Wedding is a one-night immersive art, theatre, and music experience set in a historic former bank in Williamsburg, presented by Surfacescape, a NYC-based art nonprofit. A theatrical cross-national wedding introduces interactive art installations, participatory food experiences, and live performances throughout the 6,000 square foot main hall, crowned by frescoed domes. The evening culminates in three DJ sets. Featuring work by 18 NYC artists, the show responds to ongoing tensions around immigration, visas, and belonging in the U.S.
