Tapestry: Collective Liberation and Solidarity Exhibition

Syeda Tabassum curates “Tapestry: Collective Liberation and Solidarity”, a group exhibition featuring the incredible works of women and gender-expansive artists around the world.
Through various artistic mediums and across cultures, these artists center textiles, embroidery, and clothing to convey resistance movements, untold histories, and explorations of gender.
Opening night celebration/ fundraiser will take place from 7pm - 9pm on May 21, 2024, doors open at 6:45pm at All Street Gallery (77 East 3rd Street New York, NY 10003) where you will be able to:
- 🖼️ Meet the artists and curator.
- 🎨 Participate in collective block printing activity.
- 🎵 Enjoy sounds curated by DJ Laurita (@laurasoflyy) and DJ Gitau.
- ☕️Sample chai from and biscuits from local women-owned vendor Abbu the Baker, provided on a first come first serve basis.
Come dressed in cultural attire and your keffiyehs!
🔗 Register at bit.ly/tapestryopening. Tickets are Pay What You Wish, with a minimum suggested donation of $5, all profits will go to Gaza Mutual Aid networks and Sudanese American Physicians Association-SAPA. Donation tickets will receive a postcard designed by artist Unsa M.
🗓️The exhibition will be on view from May 21-26th, 2024 1pm-7pm at All Street Gallery.
