SURRENDERED — Phoenix Premiere at Femxle Filmmakers Showcase

SURRENDERED has been selected for the Womxn’s Global Film Network’s Femxle Filmmakers Showcase in Phoenix, Arizona.

Created independently by Filipina-Canadian filmmaker and interdisciplinary artist Marie-Josée Desharnais, the 2-minute-31-second experimental short examines psychological pressure, dissociation, memory, and survival through a non-narrative and sensory approach. Fragmented images, archival traces, repetition, digital compositing, restrained narration, and layered sound replace conventional storytelling.
