SUMMER SOUNDS: Pimo & Tokala in Concert

PIMO is a Brooklyn-based music and art collective by Pixy Liao & Takahiro Morooka. PIMO (abbreviation for Pixy & Moro) is a toy band by Brooklyn-based artists Pixy Liao & Takahiro Morooka. Pixy is a Chinese visual artist. Moro is a multi-instrumental musician from Japan. Their music is influenced by toy music, 80’s New Wave, traditional Japanese music, and Bossa Nova.

Shoko Nagai’s TOKALA explores the sound of the ancient connection between Japan and the Middle East via the silk road where cultural exchange happened and left an imprint that became integral part of Japanese culture. TOKALA is Shoko Nagai (accordion, voice) & Satoshi Takeishi (percussion).
