Street Works Earth

Sunday, September 21, 2025
11 – 6PM

Join Street Works, Make Justice Normal, and dozens of other groups for a joyful street arts and climate action festival in Jackson Heights, Queens! For the second year, they’re bringing together artists, neighbors, and changemakers to co-create art, share stories, and learn about how you can care for your planet and each other. Expect a day of hands-on art-making, creative collaboration with local artists, and conversations about the climate justice issues shaping the city. You’ll also get connected to inspiring folks working year-round to make NYC a more climate-forward, just place to live. Everyone’s welcome.

Career Fair!
This year, they’re also hosting a career fair built in coalition with many organizations in the middle of the arts festival. It’s for anyone (youth and adults!) curious about what it means to work for climate and environmental justice. Whether you’re just starting out or looking for a new path, this is for you. RSVP to stay in the loop on the schedule, activities, and more.

Why Street Works, Why Now?
Street Works are outdoor galleries for art that invites conversation, action, and joy. It’s created by and for artists committed to justice. In a moment when democracy feels fragile and your voices matter more than ever, they believe in making public space a place to connect, imagine, and take collective action. These projects go beyond “interactive art"—they’re about shared power, mutual learning, and co-creating a joyful civic life.
