StorySharing Workshop for the AAPI Community

In conjunction with ‘A Love Letter’, a dance project by JENNIFERCHINdance, there will be a special workshop for those of Asian American Pacific Islander heritage. In our dance, ‘Trespass’, we examine our biography. Telling stories from our lives through movement, and how we have encroached beyond implied borders. Together, we will share our process with you. Participants will write down a simple story from their history. Then we will explore how to express that story through movement, and share that movement story with the group. Video footage of this workshop will be presented in JCD performances May 17 & 18, 2025.

No movement experience necessary, only an interest in creative expression through words and movement.

All participants must agree to be recorded and grant permission for their likeness to be used in future presentations. You will be asked to sign a waiver in order to participate. There is no fee.
