Spring Celebration of Koto & Shakuhachi: An Evening of Magical Music
8 – 10PM
Something special is happening in New York City this May and you won’t want to miss it.
East Winds Ensemble presents A Spring Celebration of Koto & Shakuhachi: An Evening of Magical Music.
Two world-class masters—Marco Lienhard on shakuhachi (Japanese bamboo flute) and Masayo Ishigure on koto—take the stage together for an intimate evening of breathtaking Japanese music, both classical and contemporary.
These musicians have performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and Suntory Hall in Tokyo, and contributed to the Memoirs of a Geisha soundtrack. This is a rare and truly special night of music.
