Shoton, meaning “Yogurt Festival,” is celebrated when monks return from their rigorous summer meditation, and people welcome them with yogurt, song, and of course, dance. This festival features Tibetan, Nepali, Polynesian, Kathak, and Flamenco dances as well as singer/broadcast journalist Angela Mckenzie and Tibetan food and crafts.
