Safety & Inclusivity: Promoting Safety Through Community-Based Programs
11 – 12:30PM
CACF will be hosting “A Series on Creating Safety in Our Communities,” which aims to create a safe space to promote open dialogue around the systemic issues that cause disparities in the health of both the individual and one’s extended community.
In seeking solutions to these issues, we must be willing to consider groups of individuals that are most at-risk to the detrimental effects of lacking access to these resources. And, we may do so by continuing to support programs that build safe and inclusive spaces for solidarity through the strengthening of relationships both within and among our communities.
We invite you to attend our first panel which will focus on “Safety & Inclusivity: Promoting Safety Through Community-Based Programs,” highlighting organizations, direct-service programs, and leaders whose work in our community incorporate this healing-centered mindset. Our guest speakers will be discussing how their community-based arts programs answer the question: “How can art promote safety in our communities?”
