Resounding Remnants–Chanika Svetvilas Catalogue Launch & Conversation

Exhibiting artist Chanika Svetvilas has reconfigured the residue of her bipolar experiences into drawings, sculptures, and interactive works. In this program, Chanika will discuss the meaning behind her material choices and motifs as well as her artistic process.

This new body of work critiques clinical medical treatment, disparities in healthcare access, and expected patterns of behavior. To reverse the gaze, she creates opportunities for the audience to reflect on and participate in works that resonate beyond the visual.

The solo exhibition catalogue, Resounding Remnants, which includes essays and an artist statement, will be available for sale. Following the artist talk, Chanika will sign catalogues.
