Queens Council on the Arts Presents The Art of Ghost Dumplings at Feast

On Friday, April 11, find out what happens when the Chinese Hungry Ghost festival and a Rockaway Beach block party falls under the same full moon.

Hoong Yee Lee Krakauer, QCA executive director and children’s book author/illustrator will show artwork from her newest children’s book, The Hungry Ghost, the original manuscript and illustrations of which were lost in Hurricane Sandy in 2012.Proceeds will support scholarships for QCA’s High School to Art School Portfolio Development Program. Give underserved high school juniors and seniors the ability to attend nationwide art colleges by literally closing the gap of their financial assistance for their first year of college.The event will be held on Friday, April 11, at 7 p.m. at the Queens Council on the Arts, 37-11 35th Ave., in Astoria.
