PINCH
12AM
What contradictions live inside your sense of security? Urgent, absurd, and darkly funny—this is not a drill.
PINCH is a surreal collision of dance-theater and emergency ritual. Swerving through the American Psyche™, a trio of characters encounter myths of preparedness. At each turn, they keep asking, breaking, cracking: Who taught you to move safely?
Drawing from safety drills staged in corporate, educational, and governmental settings, the trio stretches, subverts, and restages the mechanics of control. Out of their friction emerges a disruptive and comedic work that layers improvisation, physical comedy, fantastical reimaginings, wigs, and shock with a side of awe.
Asking not just how we survive, but who gets to feel safe and at what cost, PINCH stages a work where we twitch through our learnings – safety as its own absurd choreography.
