Panel Discussion: Heart to Heart with People Who Collect Cans: How, Why, and What are the Solutions?

In this panel discussion moderated by painter Siyan Wong as part of her “Lives of Three Canners: New York Chinese Elderly Immigrants” art exhibition (thru 11/17), you will hear directly from canners and activists who are at the forefront of advocating for the rights of canners. Come join this discussion! Bring your friends. No registration required. Free.

Panel participants: Lynn Lewis (teacher, activist and former executive director of Picture the Homeless); Jean Rice (founding board member of PTH, a former homeless and a canner); and Ryan Castalia (artist, canner advocate and executive director of Sure We Can, a nonprofit bottles and cans redemption center in Bushwick, Brooklyn).
