Panel Discussion/Talk

Open Call Public Program (AYDO)

Saturday, August 9, 2025
1 – 2PM

Open Call artist duo AYDO bring together a group of artists for a panel discussion centered on themes of mythology, cosmology, and cultural inheritance, moderated by Danni Shen, curator at the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts. The panel will bring us in conversation with artists: Jia Sung, Sahana Ramakrishnan, Natalia Nakazawa, Amanda Phingbodhipakkiya, and Ye Qin Zhu.

AYDO’s installation “Border Ecologies ” is currently being shown as part of the Open Call: Portals group exhibition at The Shed. It is a video and ceramic installation exploring on-site documentation of the Korean Demilitarized Zone and the United States–Mexico borderland through sociopolitical, cultural, and environmental perspectives.
