On Self-Respect: Group Art Exhibition

October 16 – December 18, 2026

11.2 and Land to Sea are pleased to present “On Self-Respect”, a group art exhibition curated by 11.2 featuring the work of Maham Akhtar, Nibha Akireddy, Sharon Li, Nikita Shah, Wei Yuan Wang, and Studio CareFree. Curated by 11.2, a platform exploring art, history, and storytelling founded by childhood friends Jen Louie and Ravina Jain, the exhibition brings together six artistic practices and works inspired by Joan Didion’s 1961 Vogue essay of the same name to explore what it means to develop and live with a sense of self-respect.

Rather than directly illustrating Didion’s words, these works take her ideas as a starting point and expand upon the range of possibilities outlined in her original text. Across the exhibition, you’ll see interpretations of the essay that investigate the determination of value, one’s ability to sit within one’s own contradictions, and the expectations of independence.

On View at Land to Sea from October 16th to December 18th, 2026.
Land to Sea is located at 402 Graham Avenue and open daily from 8am-6pm
