OCTOBERS: A Book Launch with Sahar Muradi & Friends

Book launch for Sahar Muradi’s debut poetry collection, OCTOBERS, selected by Naomi Shihab Nye for the 2022 Donald Hall Prize for Poetry and a National Poetry Series finalist. The collection touches on experiences of migration, empire, and loss, and looks at language as anchor, home, oppressor, and, ultimately, a source of wild wonder. Sahar will be joined by Aurora Masum-Javed, Sahar Romani, and Jenny Xie in individual and joint readings, and by Arden Levine as MC.

Books will be available for purchase and signing / cash bar / Afghan sweets and merriment at no cost.
