The first of its kind, the New York Kathak Festival is dedicated to bringing the kathak community together to learn, share, and connect through a 3-day event with concerts, workshops, and discussions.
The New York Kathak Festival is a nonprofit organization that presents and promotes dancers, scholars, and practitioners of kathak, a classical dance tracing its origins to India. The festival brings together established and emerging artists from across the United States and beyond. The NYKF is produced by the American kathak community and seeks to inspire creative exchange between local artists and diverse New York audiences.
Visit kathakfestival.org for more info about the festival, workshop schedule, artists, and where to stay.
We welcome children ages 10 and above at the concert. Late seating is permitted between acts.
Note that no photography or videography is allowed during the concerts.
We reserve the right to update the schedule if absolutely necessary.
