New Music USA's City Artist Corps Grants Information Session
2 – 3PM
Come attend a short presentation/Q&A with New Music USA on how you might be able to earn $5,000 through a City Artist Corps Grant!
City Artist Corps Grants is part of City Artist Corps, a new $25 million recovery initiative designed to help artists who were both hard hit by the pandemic and who may have been left out of other local and federal funding opportunities. The program is administered by New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) in partnership with the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA) and Queens Theatre, with support from the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME).
City Artist Corps Grants are intended to support NYC-based working artists who have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19. The program will distribute one-time $5,000 grants to over 3,000 artists to help sustain their practice and engage the public across New York City’s five boroughs this summer beginning in July. Artists working in any discipline are eligible to apply. Learn more about the program and how to apply on NYFA’s website.
New Music USA is proud to be a City Artist Corps partner organization. Other partner organizations include: Asian American Arts Alliance, A.R.T./New York, Black Public Media, Brooklyn Arts Council, Bronx Council on the Arts, Bronx Documentary Center, Dance/NYC, Firelight Media, Flushing Town Hall, Indie Theater Fund, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC), MakerSpace NYC, Poets & Writers, and Staten Island Arts.
Closed Captioning and ASL interpretation will be provided.
For those who cannot attend the event live, a recording will be posted online shortly after the presentation. We also encourage anyone who can’t be there to still share any questions with us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will answer them during the presentation and also as we receive them.
