Monotype Printmaking Workshop
6 – 8PM
Join the South Asian Womxn’s Creative Collective (SAWCC) for a monotype printmaking workshop led by the Farah Mohammad. In this monotype printmaking workshop, participants will learn the art of spontaneity and collaboration with a printing press. Working directly on plexiglass plates, they will use ink, hand-cut stencils, and collage elements to build layered compositions.
Through the process of arranging, printing, and reconfiguring stencils, participants will discover how images shift and evolve with each pass through the press. They will also explore how to alter the texture of ink to create painterly effects.
